Double S

Seng Huei and Secolastika, walked down the aisle on 09/09. A meaningful date, as it signifies a long lasting bond (九九 sounding like 久久in Mandarin).

The theme was blue, following Secolastika’s evening gown of dark blue. Engaging FDTN to create the bride’s bouquet, groom’s and parents’ boutonnières, car decor, reception and wedding albums display decor, the bride left the creation works to FDTN.

First up, transforming the car decor from a 2nd hand piece bought off another graduated bride. From white, it was turned into a pastel blue decor with silk sweet pink roses.

Next is the bride’s bouquet, after several decisions and viewing of pics, the bride has her eyes set on a shocking pink roses bouquet with surrounding sweet william. The bouquet was finished off with pastel blue ribbons to complement the blue theme. The groom’s boutonnière was also created to be the mini verson of the bouquet.

The dinner reception, held at Hilltop restaurant, was a cosy affair with only relatives and close friends invited. The reception table had a pair of Bride & Groom angbao boxes, handmade by FDTN. Together with a sweet gerberas centerpiece with a handwritten chalkboard sign “Please sign our guestbook”. The bride’s parents who loved the cute angbao boxes were busy snapping photos of themselves with the reception table decor.

The wedding albums display table had a pair of white garden lamps, illuminating the romantic ambience. With simple decoration of wedding bears encased in a pure white wooden frame and blue hearts hanging across the lamps, the couple also had a customised love story board crafted specially for them.

May Seng Huei and Secolastika hold each other’s hands and support one another always. “True love story never ends.”

Bunnies on Purple

Michelle and Roystance, both born in the year of the Rabbit, had chosen bunnies in their wedding decor to signify their unique bond. Inevitably, a car decor with couple bunnies are their only choice. FDTN’s participation in this couple’s wedding was to help them swap their car decor (provided by their Bridal Shop) from teddies to bunnies, attach a “Just Married” carplate plate with no anchor holes to the back of the car and finally to do up the bridal car for them.

Purple is Michelle’s favourite color and how can it be left out on her big day? The sleek black ride accentuated the purples and whites sashes across.

Thanks to FDTN for helping me to tie the Bridal Car a night before. Very nicely decorated! Pocket friendly price! ” – Michelle, 7 Sep 2014.

Thank you for letting FDTN participate in your special occasion and we hope our minute role played still very much added to your joy!

Cutesy Blues

When first started with Ferrine, she had told me that she will be having her ROM on 5 Sep so she was looking for a hand bouquet and car decor. Was instantly confused as the usual norm was to have bridal car for actual day only and I thought she meant 2 separate days.

It was all sorted out thereafter. Yes, Ferrine was going to have bridal car fetch her for her ROM! How cool is that? Both her significant other (SO) and herself wanted to spruce up their ride for the sake of having fun!

From gerberras to roses and finally hydrangeas, coupled with the element of blue, Ferrine’s hand bouquet and matching groom’s boutonnière have a mix of sweetness, cheerfulness, romance and purity – pearl wax, peach roses, blue and white hydrangeas. The bouquet was finished with white satin ribbons and faux pearls.

For the car decor, Ferrine had a set of couple bears with a blue and pink tees. FDTN transformed the fluffy bears into wedding bears, donning his smart black hat with bow and her pink veil with ribbons.

The cuteness of the bears sparked off the idea of having a “Just Married” bunting and Ferrine was gamed to have it. Stitch by stitch, the hand made bunting was created and small details like ribbons and hearts were added to pool on to the sweetness.

FDTN would like to express thanks to Ferrine who readily trusted us with the flowers ‘ choice and car decor bunting. When asked if  she likes the flowers and car decor, the replies were “Yes!!“, “Really love it!” and “Thanks!” – such simple words that made our day and will keep us going! Sending our congratulations once again and wishing Randal and Ferrine blissful lives ahead!

Pure Whites

The enquiry came in to FDTN’s mailbox whereby Claris was looking for wedding bouquet, corsages and car decoration for a ROM + banquet wedding on 30th August. She gave FDTN a call quite immediately and we came to know she was helping out in her younger brother’s wedding. Both him and his bride-to-be are stationed in Malaysia and weren’t able to oversee the wedding arrangements in Singapore.

After several exchanges of ideas, Claris decided on “Simple, Elegant and Pure” as the focus of the decor and bouquet. With no preferred flowers in mind, FDTN recommended on using the hot favourite Eustomas for the bouquets.

Cream white tulle and ribbons were used for the car decor and it was a perfect contrast for the black hatchback bridal car. The hugging bears were from Claris who had wanted to add some sweetness into the car decor.

The bride’s bouquet was finished off with classy gold ribbons and faux pearls. Claris also wanted something special for the flowergirls by opting for mini bouquets. Mini versions of the eustomas bouquets were created and they had sweet pink puffy bows, perfect for young girls.

Here are pictures sent to FDTN by Claris who told us that the bride and flowergirls love their bouquets. Coincidentally, the flowergirls wore white dresses with the similar pink ribbons which were perfectly matching with their bouquets. As shared by Claris, the flowergirls were “carrying their bouquets everywhere they go for photo taking” and the bouquets were “very much utilised throughout the whole evening“.

Thank you, Claris for choosing FDTN, the bride for loving her bouquet and not forgetting the flowergirls who are excited with theirs as well!

The Beginning…

What sparked off FDTN’s participation in the wedding was a casual meeting between the groom (Chin Nan), bride (Tracy), bridesmaids and bestmen. As an avid fan of D.I.Y. with growing passion for florals, FDTN took up the task of bridal car decor and hand bouquet!

The turnout was an unique piece of car decor and a hand bouquet that the bride loved. And the story began from this very chapter…
